# Real data import

The existing staff import workflow accepts bounded structured input through authorized administration. Register an attributable source first; preserve raw provenance and licensing permission. Load geography, practice-area and language reference tables from approved real sources through controlled database/provider ETL first. The current lawyer batch importer resolves existing reference IDs; it does not create a new country/city taxonomy automatically. Import firm/lawyer records through the existing authorized workflow after that prerequisite. Validate identifiers, dates and lengths; map duplicates for human review. Never replace the real database with demo fixtures.

Imported credentials remain unverified until independent evidence review. Publish a profile only after its information is checked. Run ranking and SEO eligibility evaluation after verification; do not force thin pages into the sitemap. Retain source URLs and reviewer decisions. Paid plans change commercial features and review queue priority only.

Use a staging database and a backup before a large import. Review proposed additions/updates, inspect the import run and errors, then apply to production through the existing authorized workflow. Concurrent and large provider-specific feeds require operator load testing; no live provider import was performed for this release.
